Garnier Nutrisse Cream 3.23 Quartz Foncé

I have purchased this brand before and was very happy until today. I purchased Dark Quartz and was using the guidelines of what colour it would turn out from the side of the box as well as the front picture. My hair is black. It was light brown to medium brown and now it is black.

I have been using colour code #535 for years, I wished I would have stuck with it! I thought I’d try a similar colour, found this 3.23 Dark Quartz last Saturday, I’m full of regret! The colour on the box looked nice but the results are far from what is shown! Like many I left it in for the amount indicated. I usually wait a few days to wash my hair after putting colour in so the dye sets, I couldn’t wait to shampoo my hair and get this mistake out! I’ll be wearing my hair in a pony tail from now on. I bought 2 boxes as they were on sale, it’s going back!! if people are complaining why hasn’t the formula changed to make it true the package?

I bought this colour hoping to match my natural roots that I am wanting to grow out. I naturally have light/medium hair, and was hoping for a colour that was slightly darker than my natural hair and the colour on the box looked very similar. BIG MISTAKE. I've only ever used home dyes on my hair, and I followed the instructions exactly. My hair is now almost black, and looks NOTHING like any of the photos on the box, and is not even close to matching my natural hair. I would not recommend this product at all, because of the false advertising of the packaging. Other Garnier colours are great, I love their other products, but this is a terrible dye.

I bought this colour as it was a rich, brown colour that I thought would look fabulous. After a YEAR of going from jet black through bleaching and lightening treatments, my hair was a very light brown with blondes mixed in. Used this god awful product and it turned my hair BLACK! NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT IS ON THE BOX! I am BEYOND DEVASTATED!!!! Never buy this product. GARNIER YOU LIED TO ME AND ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!

So, I go to buy hair dye because salons are closed due to lockdown. I'm looking for a medium brown with maybe some gold undertone. So I pick up this box of dark quartz. The box picture is exactly that. A girl with medium dark hair and golden tones. So, I always put a little Vaseline around my face before I dye my hair. I am finished putting the product into my hair, so I wipe my forehead with a tissue. The tissue is a black-pinkish red colour. So I freak put and google my hair dye colour to get a better description. I find this review page with many complaints of the same thing. I am panicking. Are you kidding me. I have used garniernutrisse in the past with no issues. I ligit thought the bottle in my hair dye package was swapped. It wasn't, it has the correct code. My hair looks black and red undertone, almost a purple undertone. Nothing like the box.

I bought this product because color looked nice on packaging. I am very disappointed. It is black! Will not buy it and do not recommend it.

The color is NOTHING like the color on the box! It dyed my hair black.

My 60 year old mother bought this to cover up her LIGHT brown hair and some Grey's. She now has BLACK hair. Unbelievable. Especially after receiving reviews like this, that nothing has been done to re examine the formula. So. We will never be purchasing Garnier again.
