Pink hair :((

So I've been a blonde for about 25 years. And I've always gone to the salon to get my hair done. But since were quarantined I decided to go back to my natural color. Dark blonde. My hair always turns red so I was not going to attempt to go lighter. I used a temporary color, level 7. And it turned out pretty good. I bought this mask to even out some spots and maybe even add some more warmth.
WELL THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. IT LIGHTENED MY HAIR AND TURNED IT PINK.
PLEASE LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. THIS STUFF IS JUNK. THANK GOD IT WILL WASH OUT.

Hi there Samf4208! We can imagine how frustrating that would be…Of course, this toning mask can't lighten hair, but the gold tones probably have made it look brighter. The Color Reviver is not a hair dye and does not work like a hair dye. The Color Reviver - Warm Brown is made to be used on hair dyed brown that has begun to fade and needs the warm tones restored until its time for the next haircolor touch up. The pigments in the the Warm Brown will look great on hair dyed brown, but will look completely different on lighter and gray hair.

Wear gloves

It is very helpful to wear gloves with this product. It does stain.
I was unsure at first what color my hair would be after rinsing because my entire scalp, forehead and hands were bright pink. I had to get back in the shower and wash my hair/scalp twice. I also used nail polish remover to try to scrub off access on my skin. After seven days my fingernails still have a bit of pink to them. It also dyed the tube, which I wiped down thoroughly when I put it away.
My hair was a bit of a darker brown/red and did turn the bright red as shown on the tube. This would be good to use if you just want to see how the color will look on you. I also bought the brown shade, but am unsure if I will use it. I may go with a semi permanent in a similar shade next time.

Not what I expected…

My hair is naturally brown so I bought this, thinking a bit more warmth for the holidays w/o commitment or damaging my hair. It turned my hair red!! The only saving Grace is that it’s a beautiful red and won’t (hopefully) last long. My husband wasn’t thrilled and Halloween was a month ago, other than that, the product feels nice and it’sa good thing I have a sense of humor LOL
There should be a” maybe “ option for recommending to a friend, because it depends on their hair color…

Love the revitalized color I got!

I dyed my hair red and we had to bleach my hair and I had to go back to the salon to get my hair even remotely close to what I wanted. Sadly after a couple of washes my red started to fade on my ends mostly and I had a brassiness. I saw this on the shelf and decided to give it a try and I LOVE it! I have dry dry hair and it made my ends finally look so much better. My scalp is a little oily but my hair has been so dry all I did was spray some dry shampoo on it and it’s fine.

Love it, but greasy.

So I kind of "winged it" on this product since I couldn't find any before and afters of my hair color using this product. I have brunette hair with blonde highlights and a red tint (that was applied in November, it's now January as I write this review so the red has mostly faded). I didn't want to "box dye" in hopes of going to a salon soon but still wanted to at least bring some life and color back into my dull dried looking locks. I chose the copper color in hopes it would make my blonde more of an orange/red tint and bring back that red color I used to have in my hair. Overall I think it did a good job but it did leave my hair feeling REALLY greasy.. maybe I didn't rinse out the whole product? I'm not to sure, but 4/5 stars because I did like how the color turned out! I posted a before and after picture to help others who are trying to decide if they would like to use this product or not.

It’s a good product so far

I already have dyed red hair an it was fading so I saw this an decided to buy it an over all I think it’s a good product it sticks but it will come out in a few washes depending on how you wash your hair I was my hair about everyday an it started showin signs of a touch up after 3 or so weeks

Color is not true

This product is definitely NOT warm brown. It is should be marketed as auburn. The cream itself is red and it made my light brown hair very red. I hated it. There is nothing brown about this color. I am very disappointed I have to throw away a whole tube and wasted my money.

Makes light red/blonde highlights PINK

Normally a Garnier fan and not at all a novice to hair care and styling. Always considered the brand a budget-friendly quality option. Be very careful if you have lighter colored highlights or blonde pieces. I get that it's a toner and not a hair color but it bleeds bright pink and not red. Even if it tinted an actual red color tint on highlights it wouldn't be half bad but PINK? Sigh. Also very difficult to remove if you have any porous hair whatsoever. Surprising for a temporary color reviver vs. a color-depositing hair dye. Tried dandruff shampoo, dish soap, frequent washes to remove. Eventually had to bleach it out. Just be careful... :(
