So I've been a blonde for about 25 years. And I've always gone to the salon to get my hair done. But since were quarantined I decided to go back to my natural color. Dark blonde. My hair always turns red so I was not going to attempt to go lighter. I used a temporary color, level 7. And it turned out pretty good. I bought this mask to even out some spots and maybe even add some more warmth.
WELL THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. IT LIGHTENED MY HAIR AND TURNED IT PINK.
PLEASE LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. THIS STUFF IS JUNK. THANK GOD IT WILL WASH OUT.

Hi there Samf4208! We can imagine how frustrating that would be…Of course, this toning mask can't lighten hair, but the gold tones probably have made it look brighter. The Color Reviver is not a hair dye and does not work like a hair dye. The Color Reviver - Warm Brown is made to be used on hair dyed brown that has begun to fade and needs the warm tones restored until its time for the next haircolor touch up. The pigments in the the Warm Brown will look great on hair dyed brown, but will look completely different on lighter and gray hair.

It is very helpful to wear gloves with this product. It does stain.
I was unsure at first what color my hair would be after rinsing because my entire scalp, forehead and hands were bright pink. I had to get back in the shower and wash my hair/scalp twice. I also used nail polish remover to try to scrub off access on my skin. After seven days my fingernails still have a bit of pink to them. It also dyed the tube, which I wiped down thoroughly when I put it away.
My hair was a bit of a darker brown/red and did turn the bright red as shown on the tube. This would be good to use if you just want to see how the color will look on you. I also bought the brown shade, but am unsure if I will use it. I may go with a semi permanent in a similar shade next time.

Not what I expected…

My hair is naturally brown so I bought this, thinking a bit more warmth for the holidays w/o commitment or damaging my hair. It turned my hair red!! The only saving Grace is that it’s a beautiful red and won’t (hopefully) last long. My husband wasn’t thrilled and Halloween was a month ago, other than that, the product feels nice and it’sa good thing I have a sense of humor LOL
There should be a” maybe “ option for recommending to a friend, because it depends on their hair color…

Love the revitalized color I got!

I dyed my hair red and we had to bleach my hair and I had to go back to the salon to get my hair even remotely close to what I wanted. Sadly after a couple of washes my red started to fade on my ends mostly and I had a brassiness. I saw this on the shelf and decided to give it a try and I LOVE it! I have dry dry hair and it made my ends finally look so much better. My scalp is a little oily but my hair has been so dry all I did was spray some dry shampoo on it and it’s fine.

Love it, but greasy.

So I kind of "winged it" on this product since I couldn't find any before and afters of my hair color using this product. I have brunette hair with blonde highlights and a red tint (that was applied in November, it's now January as I write this review so the red has mostly faded). I didn't want to "box dye" in hopes of going to a salon soon but still wanted to at least bring some life and color back into my dull dried looking locks. I chose the copper color in hopes it would make my blonde more of an orange/red tint and bring back that red color I used to have in my hair. Overall I think it did a good job but it did leave my hair feeling REALLY greasy.. maybe I didn't rinse out the whole product? I'm not to sure, but 4/5 stars because I did like how the color turned out! I posted a before and after picture to help others who are trying to decide if they would like to use this product or not.

It’s a good product so far

I already have dyed red hair an it was fading so I saw this an decided to buy it an over all I think it’s a good product it sticks but it will come out in a few washes depending on how you wash your hair I was my hair about everyday an it started showin signs of a touch up after 3 or so weeks

Color is not true

This product is definitely NOT warm brown. It is should be marketed as auburn. The cream itself is red and it made my light brown hair very red. I hated it. There is nothing brown about this color. I am very disappointed I have to throw away a whole tube and wasted my money.

Makes light red/blonde highlights PINK

Normally a Garnier fan and not at all a novice to hair care and styling. Always considered the brand a budget-friendly quality option. Be very careful if you have lighter colored highlights or blonde pieces. I get that it's a toner and not a hair color but it bleeds bright pink and not red. Even if it tinted an actual red color tint on highlights it wouldn't be half bad but PINK? Sigh. Also very difficult to remove if you have any porous hair whatsoever. Surprising for a temporary color reviver vs. a color-depositing hair dye. Tried dandruff shampoo, dish soap, frequent washes to remove. Eventually had to bleach it out. Just be careful... :(

It did work to tone out some brassiness in my balayage day hair but its definitely intended for light blond hair. My main issue with that is that there are already other products that do the same thing. It smells good and might be cheaper (I received it to review), but its not a game changer. I gave it three stars because it definitely works on lighter hair. Id love to see a drugstore product like this that could serve as a quick fix for DIY bleaching disasters, but this is really for targeting yellow and gold tones moreso than orange. In a pinch, it might be worth using, but I wasnt really impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not very impressed with this product; I was initially really excited to use it, because I have some lighter highlights that Ive been wanting to darken in the winter months. I thought this would be a nice alternative, as opposed to going to the salon and paying for colouring. This product has easy instructions, and I had no problem getting the product on, or washing it off after the maximum suggested time. After washing this product out, it had tinged my highlights red not ideal, but it is what it is. The product washed out completely by the next day, which was good for me, but wouldnt be ideal for someone whod enjoy the colour/want longer wear.

I wanted to write earlier but I thought I should give some time to see the results, and I just finished a whole tube. I usually love Garnier hair products; however, I hate to say this: this Color Reviver did nothing to my hair. I read good reviews here, so maybe I got a weak batch? Because I see no difference in color and shininess. I also tried to leave for more than 5 min (less than 10 min), still nothing. One extra star for making my hair moist. It is like using any regular conditioner, but this one stained my towel (reddish brown streaks), and that was it.

I have been dying my hair for over 40 yrs. I'm not sure what my natural color is lol . But I am sure I'm going gray now and have to touch up every three weeks hurting my hair every time. I came across this product and used it twice now , to my delight its wonderful !! And it covers my gray just as well as a permanent dye I know they say it wont but three weeks and gray roots coming through and twice used now proved it to me, AND it's NOT Hurting my hair. I'm 100% in ,YES LOVE LOVE LOVE And I'm going to play around with mixing

So this product is kinda like purple shampoo but doesnt leave your hair feeling dry! It does what it promotes!! I wouldnt say that this product fully recovers your hair like brand new. It fixes the brass well enough to not let your hair look bad!!
A little does not go along way... well for my experience. I used a good bit to get my results, but this product is inexpensive!!! SMELLS GOOD TOO! Most purple shampoo smell like dye!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested it on my skin to see if it would stain and it did at first lightly but was gone by the next day which I like because that means if you accidentally leave it on ur skin somewhere while its in your hair it wont stain you for long or harshly. These also might mean the effect will fade fast if you are someone who washes their hair often but it is a good low damage way to keep up with your color. I feel like it could be more pigmented. I left it on for a pretty significant amount (about 20-25 minutes) of time and it only slightly toned my blonde pieces that need to be recolored most. Overall it added back some of the warmth and a bit more shine.

My hair is always so smooth and shiny once Im done! My only qualm is that the color payoff was not as noticeable as it says on the bottle. My hair was almost identical to the before picture, however the color didnt really take to my hair, even though I followed the instructions. After using it a couple times, it started to work. But it just didnt work as quickly as it says it would. But for the price and the AMAZING smell, of you arent looking for dramatic, instant results, its definitely a nice product for upkeep between getting your hair done!

So I waited two weeks just because I knew I would be doing a bunch of stuff to the hair (combing, straightening, styling, etc) Im proud to say that it definitely makes the wig look really new. I didnt think it could get any better since I just dyed the wig around the time I received my product but man it makes a heck of a difference. Im glad I received this voxbox and its definitely something I would recommend! If the blonde one was great i know the burgundy has to be fantastic

Great boost for brown dyed hair

I color my hair, and it's usually a light to medium brown or I go a bit auburn with it. A brand I love discontinued its color-enhancing conditioner, so when I saw this, I decided to give it a go. So far I'm loving this new find. I bought the warm brown, and it does a nice job adding a little boost of color. It's more a rich warm brown and there's a tiny bit of red to it, but that's mostly something that shows upi n some lighting. It also seems to mask my gray roots a bit. Not entirely, but it makes them a bit less obvious. The conditioner works well, too, leaving my hair feeling softer and looking shinier. There's no overwhelming smell, and it doesn't stain hands.

It made my hair really soft which was surprising to me because every hair dye, color reviving, etc. product Ive tried in the past made my hair dry and frizzy.

I thought it was me but with the reviews I confirm that I was not wrong and I have reddish lights. I love the color, I wanted to cover some blue highlights on my already dyed medium golden brown and it did the job. I am fascinated by the fragrance and conditioning it gives to the hair as well as the color. I was afraid that it would lose the color because it is specified color for 1 day, when moistening it and combing it with gel, but it did not happen that way, I am more than happy. It should be noted that due to the conditioner and fragrance I left it on for more than 1 hour, perhaps that influenced my results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone whos been bleaching their hair and dying their hair blonde for the past 4 years, my hair is extremely dead and I am always doing my best to tone my hair as well as revive it as well. I use a lot of hair products on my hair especially hair masks and purple shampoo at least twice a week. This product combines two of these products into one and makes it so simple to nourish and tone my hair! The only complaint I have is that I wish this product was more pigmented because it doesnt tone it as much as I wish it would.

Great boost of color

I used these on 2 human hair wigs I own. The first one was a light strawberry blonde color and I wanted it to be more ginger, so I added the conditioner and it did a perfect job! No dyed or chemicals, felt and smells great. And the second wig I've used many times and has lost its vibrant colors, so this gave it the perfect boost of color it needed. Definitely recommend. Each wig took a bottle.

When I first unboxed this product the scent immediately drew me in. It smells SO good! I love that it is a conditioning and toning mask. It left my hair feeling silky and it did mildly tone my locks. The longer you leave it on and when used daily I saw better results then when used as directed. My holy grail toning shampoo is Clairol Shimmer Lights so this product had tough competition. This is NOT red!

I purchased this thinking it would give my strawberry blonde hair a red boost between my normal coloring and it is now PINK! It is splotchy even though I saturated my entire head. It’s awful. If I wanted pink hair I would be happy, but I wanted what it said it would do, enhance the red. I’m so sad and hope I can correct this myself and it doesn’t cost a fortune for a salon to fix.

The Color Reviver - Vibrant Red is not a hair dye and is not made for use on natural hair or gray hair. It’s a temporary treatment that combines a deep conditioner with a toner. The Vibrant Red tone is made to restore and revive hair already dyed a vibrant red color. Fortunately, this color will wash out of the hair gradually as you shampoo over the next few weeks, leaving you with the strawberry blonde and gray roots you started with. At that point, go ahead and use another color better suited to your color goals.

It doesnt have a bad smell and In my opinion it is very thin. When I applied it to my hair I actually left it on for 15 minutes to achieve a more darker color and it didnt change anything about my hair color. My hair wasnt dry or brittle after I applied it, but it didnt revive my color nor did it add any color to my outgrown roots. My hair had been looking a bit dull, so I was hoping that it might just revive my color a bit. Thats exactly what it did. It gave my brown a bit of an undertone. Its hard to tell from photos Ive taken, but I definitely noticed a difference in person. The product smells very good and your hair feels very smooth after using it. When applying I did use gloves, so I dont know if it dyes your hands or if the product is hard to get off. I would recommend this product for a quick hair color refresher.

I have blonde/cool highlights done every 12 weeks and since I won’t be getting this month due to COVID-19 quarantine I searched the web for something to help maintain the color and give a boost. I use purple shampoo and conditioner on a daily basis (famous brand).
I could not find in the instructions on the amount to be applied so I used a whole tube of Blonde Mask. I follow all the steps and instead of leaving for 10 minutes I left 15-20 I wanted to see results!
But for my surprise and disappointment it didn’t do anything.
When I started to apply I liked the consistency, the bright color purple and the smell, at the end I just thought ‘at least I tried’.
Garnier should not claim this product as to revive color. I think Garnier should have tested more before launching it on the market claiming a color reviver mask, it nourishes you hair as a deep conditioner that’s it.

Amazing and a must-have in my bathroom!

I am hooked on this! My hair is naturally copper red, but has faded a lot as I've gotten older, and there are now a LOT of greys mixed in. This product not only blends the grey hairs in (so they look like highlights, not just grey), but it really does bring back much of my vibrant natural color. So much easier to use this in the shower every couple of weeks, than to dye it and have to deal with seeing roots and that stark line you get when your color starts to grow out. I like this product so much that I have now stopped using damaging permanent hair color completely. I use a semi-permanent color, then use this product every 2 weeks to blend the greys and lengthen the time between colorings. PERFECT!!

Warm brown's is a hit!

I was a little worried when the product came out more orange than brown but I figured what the heck. My hair started out mti-toned and sun bleached from this summer. BUT ended up even again even covering up the blondest parts of my hair. I will definitely be getting more.

Turned my hair bright pink

The red in my hair had faded a lot so I thought this would be fun to try and bring back the red. It turned every lighter piece of my hair bright pink. And it stained my finger nails. Do no buy this unless you want pink hair. It's even brighter in person.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using a color depositing shampoo once a week to keep my auburn red looking vibrant between salon appointments so I was curious to see how this would compare. I loved how soft and silky this made my hair. It didnt stain my hands at all when applying which is nice. Plus my hair seemed less tangled. As far as the color reviving part Im not totally converted from my other product I typically use. My hair looked shiny and the color didnt look faded after a few weeks but my other shampoo actually adds color so I can extend the time between getting it colored much longer.

I waited until my hair had brassy tones (we have REALLY) hard water and tried it out. YALL. This worked SO well. Its almost like a pick me up for your hair. It is more of a temporary like it didnt stay this way for long but it definitely brightened up my hair tremendously. Id say its really good for before pictures or an event and of course just because. The price is comparable to any drug store hair dye so nothing crazy. Id definitely buy it but probably only for special occasions as its not a long term answer.

My hair had already been colored brown, and I’d hoped to revive the color/ darken it a bit. All it did was make my brown hair orange/ red. It didn’t darken it at all. And now I’m stuck with this color.

Hi there Jessns! We can see why these results were not what you were hoping for. The Nutisse Color Reviver is not a hair dye so it can't darken or lighten hair. Its a deep conditioning mask that deposits a tone to revive the color in the dyed hair. The rich gold tones in the Warm Brown will look different on gray hair, lightened hair and hair that has faded lighter than a brown. This color deposit is temporary and washes out gradually over a week or so leaving your hair ready for your regular haircolor.

Typically the toning products Ive used take a few applications before I notice anything & this product brought out my cooler blonde tones perfectly the first time around. I have a more medium golden blonde tone in my hair with some cool blonde highlights mixed in, so may try their golden blonde reviver next time, but yall this product is legit and it works. Highly suggest. Smell and softness of hair post-application is an awesome added bonus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] first, this stuff smells so good! my hair is naturally dark blonde/light brown & every 6 months i get heavy blonde highlights. I followed the directions and left this in my hair for 5 minutes in place of my regular conditioner & i love what it did to my hair! it left it so smooth and soft. it also lightened my highlights and made them more blonde and my hair was lighter overall. I also love that there is no sulfates in this. i would definitely recommend this to someone wanting to lighten their hair without spending tons of money to go to a professional salon!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked using this product because it did bring back some color into my hair. For some insight, I had dark brown hair. However, the first time I used it I noticed the color didnt make it to my roots, and it was visibly noticeable in the sunlight. Also, using it in the shower was weird because the product does stain your hands so youre going to have to scrub your hands hard. When I tried it again after the two weeks, the color of my hair became more brown but roots still werent colored. Before going to bed, I dried my hair and went to bed. Woke up to find some stains on my white pillowcase (which did wash off thank god). Loved that the product offered immediate change, but didnt like the fact that the dye stained my pillowcase.

I used this product to undo my Redken Blondage hair line of purple shampoo, mask, and conditioner. My hair was almost gray with a light purple, and even light pink but overall platinum blonde. I wanted to introduce more warm tones into my ashy hair to lessen the appear of these tones and it did do that. On one occasion though, my hair turned too golden for me but I did leave it on for ten minutes instead of five. This is an effective way to cancel out ashy tones and I think it looks like I’ve had a used a glaze/toner this product has such strong pigments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Total lifesaver. I am a mom to an extremely energetic baby boy, and so I don't have much time for myself. It's not often that I get a chance to color touch-up my hair, resulting in blah washed out tones. However, I still want to look nice & since working this color reviver into my hair-washing routine my hair has stayed vibrantly red and silk soft. Much better than the Lime Crime color conditioners! Cannot recommend enough. Cheers to Garnier & Influenster for the complementary product & for helping this exhausted momma find something that really works.

I was expecting this to not work, if anything, since my natural hair is very dark brown (though it was lightened from the sun and a mostly faded-out brown box dye that used developer). This left a surprising amount of color in my hair, and even disguised my grays somewhat. I was skeptical because the product itself is very red and went on orange, but it just gave my hair rosy undertones, which I actually like. It also made my hair nice and soft. Might pull too red for some if you have lighter hair, but gives a cool rose gold tint on really dark hair.
