I tried every hair gel, paste and product on the market, on a quest to find the perfect hair styling solution. It was over 20 years ago now that the quest has ended, after finding and falling in love with Surf Hair. Please don’t let this product die. I don’t have the energy for another quest.

Desperate for the Return of Garnier Surf Hair

I have been using Garnier Surf Hair for the past 20 years, and it is hands down the best hair product I have ever come across. As someone with thin curly hair, finding a product that can control and keep my hair straight has always been a challenge. Garnier Surf Hair does this effortlessly, and it even helps control dryness, preventing dandruff.
I have been keeping a large stock of this product just in case, but now I am down to only 33 left and already panicking. This is the only product that works for my hair, and I am devastated that it has been taken off the market. My assumption is that Garnier's marketing strategy failed by promoting this product as something for surfers. I have never surfed and will never do, nor do I aspire to have surfer hairstyles.
Please, Garnier, bring this product back, rebrand it, do something! This product is unique, and I have tested tens of putties, pastes, etc., and none give the same result. Garnier Surf Hair is irreplaceable, and I am desperate to see it return to the shelves.

This was my go to product for years, it saddens me to know it's discontinued. Poor decision on Garnier's side, this product was incredible! It was non-greasy, easy to restyle throughout the day and washed out easily, wasn't crazy expensive either - just everything you could ask for. Please listen to all these reviewers and bring it back Garnier!

I've been using this on my fine, flyaway hair for more years than I can remember. Have tried other stuff, but ditched them all in favour of this one. WHAT CAN I REPLACE IT WITH?????

It's too bad that this is being discontinued? So that's why I cannot find it in Walmart or Shoppers Drug-Mart.
This was the best product that I took a gamble on 10 years ago, and have purchased lots over the years. Like other people say, it's matte, non-greasy, and is great for keeping thick hair styled
. I found it actually would look the best the next day, after I had ran my fingers through my hair once the product dried in my undercut, styled over like a wave to one side. It also smelled great. And I will miss this product and how it was so easy to style my hair, when towel-dried, and how it kept my hair where I wanted it without the look of darkening, greasy, hardening gel.
I guess the next best thing, as an alternative will be to try the Göt2Be cream that comes in a red tube (just saw this at the store, but it's not matte), or just mix a bit of the original Göt2Be spiking hair-glue with nice conditioner, warm it in your palms, then work it in to towel-dried damp hair.
It would be an excellent idea to bring this product back, even if you have to rebrand it as something else.
