Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color 556 Autumn Red

It came out great, but a little lighter and little more on the orange side than the box shows. TO BE FAIR: my hair had been through five years of me bleaching and dying it crazy colors, and then I bleached bathed it and dyed it medium golden brown twice (over the course of two months) before using this color last night. I'm super happy with it, my hair feels great, better than before I dyed it, and I love that the color doesn't reflect purple or burgundy like most other permanent reds I've tried in my pre-bleaching days. I added photos, but keep in mind that I didn't dye healthy virgin hair.

Legitimately my favorite hair color of all time. Naturally medium brown hair and this color gives me the Perfect red. My one issue is it's so hard to find :'( the past few months it hasn't been in any of the stores near me and I can barely even find it online. When I find it I buy at least 2 to 3 boxes at a time and I think I had a breakdown last time I had to dye my hair a different color. Please never stop making this color I will go with it.

I have used Pomegranate (True Red) and Red Hibiscus (light intense Auburn) on my medium/dark brown hair with red undertones; for a awhile and I have always loved how my hair looks and feels afterwards with the beautiful rich reds! Would it be safe after dying it true red to switch and use Red Autumn now? And vice versa? Are those reds safe to use together as I have found your other red dyes are?

I'd never dyed my hair before. Being naturally a medium/dark brunette it always seemed like too much work, and I was pretty nervous going into this. But I was So Impressed. Not only did this actually color my dark hair, but the red was a lovely subtle shade that wasn't super intense. Not to mention SOFT, the hair products included are great and didn't make my hair feel damaged at all!

This shade is perfect! The color picture on the box is accurate. This is a beautiful warm rich red, without any purple or blue tones, almost has a golden glow to it. I haven't found this color red from any other brand, it goes perfectly with warmer skin tones, please don't discontinue! :) As with other colors from Garnier my hair is soft after use.

This product advertised natural darker brunettes to achieve the given color and it my hair looks the exact same as it did before I put in the dye (even in the sunlight).

I tried to dye my virgin medium ash brown hair ( 5 percent gray) with R3 red hibiscus. I ended up with a garish red, with patches that went back to medium ash brown as soon as I rinsed my hair. The roots are bright, bright orange. Now I’m stuck praying it fades to a less alarming combination of colors—I wouldn’t even know how to fix this, considering how uneven it is. In addition to random patches of ash brown in the middle and on the ends, there are some strands that didn’t take color from the root to the ends, so it’s like I have strange ashe brown highlights between the bright orange. In the past, I’ve dyed my hair auburn at the salon with no problem, and at-home dyes like Madison Reed and Revlon have always provided even coverage. This is the first time Ive tried Garnier, only because box dye has historically turned out more of a warm chestnut brown on me than the bright auburn shown on the side of the box. I was hoping for something more dramatic this time, but I just look unhinged. Also the smell of this product is awful, worse than any salon or box dye I’ve ever used in the 20 years I’ve been coloring my hair.
